Something we get asked about a lot is whether the Haakaa is JUST for catching let-down, or whether it can be used to exclusively pump on its own or with one on each side?

It is true that the Haakaa is an exceptionally good tool for saving your let-down milk - but that isn’t its only purpose! It is a breast pump and many mamas can and do use it as their one and only pump

So the answer is - yes, you CAN!

While it doesn’t use the ‘pump, pump, pump’ motion of traditional pumps, the Haakaa uses another method to extract your milk - continuous suction! All you need to do is squeeze it once and then the pump suctions to your breast, drawing out your liquid gold with constant suction, it will do this whether you’ve got your baby nursing from the other side or not!

You can express from one breast at a time, or you can use two Haakaa pumps at the same time... or even team it up with another type of pump! And of course, you can always use it to catch let-down
